Our Story
Hello, my name is Annette Milano. 36 years ago, I gave birth to twin boys, Michael, and David. December 19th, 2020, I had to say goodbye to David. David suffered with mental illness for most of his life. He was a beautiful young man, with a quick wit, and a great sense of humor. The loss of a child is more than any mother can bare.

I fought for David to be placed in a long-term mental facility and my fight was denied. I was told that the mentally ill have rights, even if that person is not capable of making those decisions for themselves. There are a lot of organizations for the mentally ill, but we do not have enough. These organizations are available for people that are willing to seek help on their own, but what about the unwilling? For those that are in denial about their illness, what about them? I pray to God that one day, there will be a reform to mental health, the care for those suffering from mental illness, and that there will be help for everyone, the willing, and the unwilling. Therefore,
OUR STORY IS NOT OVER.

Last August 2021, we held our first annual golf tournament, The David Milano Adopt a
Student Fund Memorial. David was a proud graduate of Cathedral Prep, and I truly believe
he felt it was one of his greatest accomplishments. We were able to raise enough money
to contribute to two incoming freshman's tuition. I wanted to make a legacy for my son and let everyone know that David's life mattered.

Help us continue to raise money for two young men attending Cathedral Prep and to further change these young mens' lives in David's memory.

BE PART OF OUR STORY...
BE PART OF DAVID'S LEGACY...

Thank you and God bless,
Annette Milano
